The KWPN stallion selection committee for dressage has nominated the Grand Prix stallion St. Schufro, who is available for the Netherlands through us, for recognition. The General Board has formalized this application for recognition of this twelve-year-old stallion.

The Hanoverian stallion Blue Hors St. Schufro has received the predicate elite stallion from the Danish studbook. Under Nanna Skodborg Merrald, Blue Hors St. Schufro made an impressive debut on the world stage with striking scores at the Nations Cup Falsterbo, the World Cup competition in Vilhemsborg and victory in the freestyle of CDI Herning.

Pedigree

Blue Hors St. Schufro is a son of the stallion St. Moritz Junior; bred out of the mare Dorina, a daughter of the Grand Prix stallion Blue Hors Don Schufro. She produced, among others, the Z2-level active Fürstin Schufro (s.Fürstano). Grandmother Asta is a daughter of the Hanoverian stallion Atatürk, who, in combination with Weltmeyer, produced the third level horse Wienna 34 and the Small Tour horse Wallpulicella, among others. This full sister of the international eventing horse Atabini comes from a damline that also produced several (inter)national showjumping and dressage horses.

Breeding stallion

Blue Hors St. Schufro has also produced a number of striking offspring as a breeding stallion. Lyngbjergs St. Paris (ds.Blue Hors Rockefeller) competed with Victoria E. Vallentin in the five-year-old world title at the WC for Young Dressage Horses in Ermelo. At the same WC we also saw St.Athletique (ds.Hofrat) win the class for four-year-olds under Heiko Klausing. Skyline to B, which comes from an Ampère dam, won the Breeders Trophy in Sweden last year. Blue Hors St. Schufro has five approved sons, including the aforementioned St.Athletique and Skyline to B.

KWPN requirements
