Hesselhooej Donkey Boss made history for us by producing such an absolutely top stallion in Hanover with his first crop, Daan G. Daan G was sold for a record price to Paul Schockemöhle and Andreas Helgstrand. We at Hengstenstation van Uytert immediately spoke with the owner of his sire, Donkey Boss, and reached an agreement to offer him, through semen, to the Netherlands.
When you talk to them, it's not all coincidence, but rather a careful selection by Hans Jørgen Hoeck. Donkey Boss was approved as a 3-year-old stallion in Denmark and received the following scores in his performance test: Walk 9.5 - Trot 9.5 - Canter 9.0 - Rideability 9.5 - Test Rider 9.0 - Character/Temperament a 10. These are, of course, exceptionally good scores. As a 4-year-old, Hesselhoej Donkey Boss won the Danish Championships. His full brother, Hesselhoej Down Town, was the 2021 World Champion under Jenna Hogberg in the 5-year-old dressage horse class in Ermelo. In 2023, they won the Silver Medal in the 6-year-old dressage horse class with a fantastic final score of 9.38 points.

Donkey Boss's pedigree is also very interesting, and it seems he can bring out some of the Arabian Trakehner blood in a horse. His sire, Hesselhoej Donkey Boy, also won Silver at the World Championships. Young horses scored high, achieving 73-75% in the Small Tour, and were ready for Grand Prix when they suffered an injury. I, Joop van Uytert, will never forget his grandsire, Era Dancing Hit. What a horse he was, winning absolutely everything in Denmark with nines and tens, and also stunningly beautiful. That's why we covered him at the time, resulting in a beautiful broodmare. Sadly, Era Dancing Hit died as a five-year-old stallion in a tragic accident.
Donkey Boss's dam, the mare Boogie Woogie, who received the 'DWB Silver Medal,' descends from the world-class sire and Grand Prix stallion Blue Hors Zack, ranked No. 3 in the 2024 WBFSH-Sire ranking.
In the fourth line, we encounter the Trakehner stallion Schwadroneur, also the dam's sire of our top stallion Easy Game. We also see a lot of Trakehner blood throughout the line, and through the Grand Prix stallion Milan, our Trakehner stallion Michelangelo.
