Johnny Depp

A mega talent, those are 3 words that perfectly describe Johnny Depp. Johnny Depp won a lot in his youth, such as the PAVO and Subli Cup for 5-year-old dressage horses and also won this Subli Cup at the age of 6. He continued this series by winning Bronze at the 2022 National Dressage Championships in the ZZ-Zwaar class. And in 2023 he successfully progressed to Prix St. Georges level under his rider Renate van Uytert-van Vliet and managed to achieve high scores. As a sport horse, we expect him to have absolute talent for the highest level, because the talent he already shows for piaffe and passage is truly phenomenal!

But Johnny Depp is also doing well as a breeding stallion. From his first 2 small years, 2 stallions were already selected for the 2nd viewing at the KWPN. He also brought the auction topper of our first successful edition, the Van Uytert Young Star Sales! Johnny Depp, a very nice, sweet, stable stallion with a very good character and attitude who produces nice horses with a lot of switching ability.

What success Renate and Johnny Depp have already achieved! Together they are a fantastic combination and they were in great shape approaching the 2020 World Championships for 6-year-old dressage horses. Unfortunately, the World Championships were cancelled due to the Covid-19 crisis. We look forward to their successful competition season in 2021.

Johnny Depp’s first foals, born in 2020, also seem very promising. They have a beautiful appearance and walk with a lot of spring and ease. Several offspring have been sold for good prices at leading foal auctions.

Johnny Depp combines everything you could ask for in one horse: three good gaits that earned an overall 8.5 out of 10 in the KWPN inspections. His basic movement in combination with an excellent work ethic, character, exterior and rideability make him a true top horse.
