We are delighted to be able to add this impressive stallion with very powerful movements to our stallion collection. Sir Vegas has a very strong back and loin and possesses excellent balance for such a large horse. He has the looks and a fantastic temperament. He shows front under saddle, walks with his ears up, and naturally has a very fine contact. In our view, provided everything remains healthy, Sir Vegas could become an outstanding dressage horse for the future.

Pedigree:
After his sire Las Vegas was entered with 90 points as a three-year-old, he won both the Pavo Cup and the Stallion Competition. After being selected three times for the World Championships for Young Dressage Horses, Las Vegas won the KNHS title in the Light Tour in 2024 under Diederik van Silfhout. This stallion is also making great strides in breeding, having already produced several NMK mares and approved stallions. Sir Vegas is his first KWPN-approved son and he comes from a dam line of Hanoverian origin. In the third generation, this dam line traces back through the Argentinus daughter Argentina to a half-sister of the international Grand Prix dressage horse Donna Gracia (by Donnerschlag), with whom Stéphanie Peters performed well. On the dam's side, Sir Vegas carries the valuable genes of top sire De Niro, who topped the WBFSH Sire Ranking for years, thanks to an unprecedented series of top dressage horses such as Depardieu, D’Agostino FRH, Desperados, Dablino FRH, Delgado, and Donnerfee. More performance genes have been added to this pedigree via the Olympic top sire Don Schufro in the third generation.

Sir Vegas is a generous and sturdy stallion. He is well focused on the rider. The walk shows a great deal of scope and is active; at times, the stallion still needs support from the rider to effectively translate this through the body into a consistently pure four-beat rhythm. He responds well to guidance in this. The trot is very balanced, the hind leg carries well and has ample power. The foreleg is used with shoulder freedom and knee lift. The canter shows power, balance, and a good jump. Sir Vegas transitions easily and at times demonstrates the ability to shift weight onto the hind leg. The contact is constant and stable, though it could remain slightly more pleasing. He follows the hand well and remains balanced even then. Sir Vegas has shown a very consistent performance.
