Silver for Juniors

After Rowena Weggelaar and Lara van Nek rode their country test at the European championship in Hartpury on Tuesday, it was the turn of Micky Schelstraete and Jill Bogers today. Both riders performed extremely well: Schelstraete rode Knight Rider (by Uphill) to 73.818% and Jill Bogers and our stallion Lennox U.S. (v. Grand Galaxy Win) 73.394% down. In the Nations Cup, the junior team of national coach Monique Peutz won the silver medal.

Both Micky Schelstraete and Jill Bogers achieved a new personal best today. The score of 73.818% of Schelstraete and her Uphill son meant fifth place. Jill Bogers and the six-year-old KWPN stallion Lenox U.S., bred by co-owner Bas & Trudy Wilschut, who competed abroad for the first time in Hartpury, England, finished in sixth place with 73.394%.

Freestyle to Music final

At the European Dressage Championships for juniors, the three Dutch combinations that made it to the freestyle all finished in the top 10. The best performance of the Dutch juniors, who already won silver in the Nations Cup, was achieved by Jill Bogers with our KWPN stallion Lennox U.S. down. The duo achieved 75.04% in the Freestyle. Rowena Weggelaar and Micky Schelstraete finished seventh and eighth.

The European freestyle win was for the Danish Sophia Obel Boje Jørgensen with Brilliant (by Bretton Woods), the duo that won silver in the individual class yesterday. In the freestyle, the Danish scored 77.695%. We had this horse for the KWPN Stallion Inspection in 2015.
